Aaron Ramsey, a midfielder from Wales, has signed for Nice on a free transfer. The 31-year-contract old's with Italian powerhouse Juventus was "mutually terminated" in July, leaving him a free agent.
Previously, Cardiff City and Nottingham Forest had been mentioned as potential destinations for Ramsey. Prior to Wales' debut at the World Cup finals later this year, he moved to the Ligue 1 club.
Following Joe Rodon's loan move to Rennes earlier in the day, he is the second Welshman to sign for a French team. The ex-Arsenal star Ramsey, who joined Juventus in 2019, reportedly made £400,000 per week. But despite winning a Serie A title and Coppa Italia in his first two seasons with Juventus, Ramsey struggled to make a true impact in Italy.
