Team Australia under Pat Cummins presently holds dominance over the Ashes 2023 series. As they take on England at Headingley starting on Thursday, July 6, the Australians will be eager to win the series after winning the first two Tests at Edgbaston and Lord's.
The Australians declared their starting XI for the game during the toss of the third Test, and there were some notable lineup changes. In lieu of Cameron Green, who suffered a hamstring injury and had to be rested, star all-rounder Mitchell Marsh will be the replacement.
Todd Murphy, a 22-year-old player, also makes his Ashes debut today. It was eagerly awaited that Murphy would join the starting lineup because veteran spinner Nathan Lyon recently sustained an injury and needed to take a break.
Yet another change in the Australian lineup is the inclusion of Scott Boland, who comes in in the place of Josh Hazlewood
Australia XI: David Warner, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith, Travis Head, Mitch Marsh, Alex Carey (wk), Mitch Starc, Pat Cummins (c), Scott Boland, Todd Murphy.
