All-rounder Cameron Green has been ruled out from the remaining matches of Australia's ODI series against England because of injury. He has returned to Perth. While Josh Inglis, the wicket-keeper batter who sustained a freak injury while playing golf shortly before the T20 World Cup, has been requested to replace Green in the squad, Mitchell Marsh has been called up to Australia's playing XI for the second ODI against the Three Lions in Sydney.
Although the injuiry isn't thought to be serious, Cricket Australia is taking precautions to keep him well and prepared for the next matches. According to sources, Green will reportedly play in Australia's opening summertime Test matchup against the West Indies at Perth Stadium on November 30.
Green bowled a total of seven overs in the first ODI against England, and his unbeaten 20 runs helped Australia win the match. The youngster participated in just one game of the recently concluded T20 World Cup, which was against Afghanistan.
