Casemiro of Manchester United will be suspended for Sunday's game against Arsenal, but manager Erik ten Hag tried to look for the bright side following the Brazilian's fifth yellow card of the season.
After receiving a booking in the 80th minute of the 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace, Casemiro will be ineligible to take on the Gunners, who are eight points ahead in the standings. When United defeated Arsenal 3-1 in September, he barely played the final 10 minutes. Ten Hag declared, "We defeated them without Casemiro; now we must do the same."
When Casemiro received a warning for a late shove on Eagles striker Wilfried Zaha, United had a 1-0 lead over Palace due to a goal from Bruno Fernandes. Eight minutes earlier, Scott McTominay was fouled by Chris Richards just inside the Palace area, leading to shouts for a penalty. The evening of the visitors was made much worse when Michael Olise equalised with a beautiful free kick in stoppage time.
