Raheem Sterling's contract at Manchester City expires in a year, and that a deal with Chelsea in current transfer window would require a price of around £60 million. Chelsea are optimistic that they will be able to capture Manchester City striker Raheem Sterling this summer if a cost can be agreed upon with the Premier League winners.
Sterling is a great fan of Thomas Tuchel, who believes the attacker is better suited to Chelsea's style of play than Romelu Lukaku, who is poised to return to previous club Inter Milan on loan next season.
Chelsea, on the other hand, believes a more reasonable price would be closer to the £35 million that Bayern Munich could spend for Liverpool forward Sadio Mane.
Mane, like Sterling, has only a year and a half left on his Liverpool contract, but he is two years and eight months older at 30. After joining City in the summer of 2015, Sterling has won four Premier League titles, four League Cups, and the FA Cup.
