Indian lead trainer Ravi Shastri has referenced that the Indian playing XI will be concluded by the dew factor as the games are set to be played for the most part in the evening. The T20 World cup 2021 will be the last task for Ravi Shastri as the lead trainer of the Indian side and he will be hoping to leave on a high from the Indian side.
In the warm-up game against England, the Virat Kohli-drove side created a radiant exhibition to dominate the match with one over to save. Ishan Kishan and KL Rahul showed some beast power alongside a ton of polish at the highest point of the request and gave the best beginning to the Indian side.
Ravi Shastri reckons that the dew factor is likely to decide India-s playing combination and it will also decide whether India will bat or bowl first if they win the toss. He also added about the preparations have already been done with their stints in the IPL.
-We-ll just try to see how much dew is around and accordingly decide to bat or bowl first. Also helps us decide about playing an extra spinner or seamer,-
-Boys have been playing IPL for the last two months, so I don-t think they need too much of preparation. It-s more about them getting together and adapting together. Get some rhythm going, some energy going,- Ravi Shastri told on Star Sports Connected.
Ravi Shastri mentioned that the warm-up games provide the side with the advantage of giving an opportunity for everyone to bat and bowl and added that India will not follow any particular strategy throughout the tournament.
-Everyone can bat, everyone can bowl (in this game). So it will help us to get an idea about who is doing how.
-Not really (regarding any locked strategy). We-ll just see how things go and work a combination around,- He added.
India will play their first Super 12 league stage game on the 24th of October against the Pakistan side.
