Both Eric Bailly and Phil Jones are alleged to have told their Manchester United teammates of their plans to leave at the conclusion of the season.
Under Ralf Rangnick, neither has been a regular in the first team, with Bailly only making seven appearances in all competitions and Jones only making five.
Both were expected to leave the club this summer anyhow, but according to the reports, Bailly and Jones have expressed their desire to depart Old Trafford in conversations with their teammates.
Bailly threatened publicly not long after signing a new contract with United last spring that he wouldn't be willing to stay if he wasn't going to play regularly.
According to reports, neither player wants to wait for new manager Erik ten Hag to make a decision on the squad, with the exception of attacker Marcus Rashford, who is willing to prove himself to the Dutchman before deciding on his future.
This summer, Ten Hag is likely to make a few new acquisitions, especially at center-back. Pau Torres of Villarreal is being considered, and Jurrien Timber of Ajax has also been mentioned.
United are willing to listen to bids for both Bailly and Jones to make room for those signings, and the duo's evident readiness to facilitate a move would make arranging their exits much easier. United are also considering bids for current third-choice Victor Lindelof, who is still highly regarded at the club but may be transferred if the right price is offered.
