Tottenham came from behind to overcome Leeds United in the Premier League for the first time under Antonio Conte. After the Leeds United victory, Tottenham Hotspur fans appear to be dissatisfied with Steven Bergwijn and Matt Doherty.
Spurs beat Leeds 2-1 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, their first Premier League victory under new manager Antonio Conte.
Before the break, Dan James had given the visitors the lead, but goals from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Sergio Reguilon in the second half had the home fans joyful, and Conte was even more thrilled after the final whistle, passionately embracing his players and coaching staff.
Fans watching from home, however, noticed two players who didn't seem too happy on receiving a warm embrace from the Spurs manager. An overjoyed Conte approached Bergwijn and Doherty, but their expressions were anything from happy.
Bergwijn, a Dutch forward, is yet to make an appearance under Conte, having been an unused substitute in the Italian's first three games in charge, and Doherty, an Irish defender, has had only a 19-minute cameo off the bench against Everton.
Regardless of their circumstances, Spurs fans were aware of the occurrence, and some rushed to Twitter to express their anger.
