Roberto Bautista Agut gave Spain a strong start in the opening match of the tie by outdueling Pospisil 3-6, 6-3, 6-3. In the doubles, Auger-Aliassime and Vasek Pospisil defeated Marcel Granollers and Pedro Martinez 4-6, 6-4, 7-5, continuing his winning streak.
