Starting on September 28, India will host South Africa for a three-match T20I series and 3 ODIs, after their successful T20I series against Australia. The Men in Blue are in excellent shape as they just recently won a T20 series against the reigning world champions Australia. South Africa's last tour of India in June, concluded in a 2-2 tie after the final game was rained out.
Additionally, South Africa has been playing well lately, as evidenced by their recent four-match winning streak in T20I games. After defeating England 2-1 in July, they won 2-0 against Ireland in August. Additionally, this will be the third time in the current calendar year that the two teams will compete against one another.
India has not yet released the team for the ODIs, but South Africa has announced the squad for both the T20Is and the ODIs. In the T20Is, Temba Bavuma will be in charge of the Proteas while Rohit Sharma will lead the Indian team. Both teams would aim to provide their best effort as the T20 World Cup in 2022 gets closer.
