After a humiliating loss to SRH, Royal Challengers Bangalore will now face Rajasthan Royals in the IPL's 39th match.
The match will begin at 7:30 p.m. on April 26th at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium (MCA) in Pune. The Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals will meet for the second time this season. In that game, RCB defeated RR by four wickets while chasing a 170-run total.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore were bowled out for 68 runs in their last encounter against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. With 10 points, RR is in third place in the points standings. After their loss to SRH, RCB has slid to fourth place with eight points from eight games. In batting Jos Buttler and spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, RR has both Orange and Purple cap holders.
Royal Challengers Bangalore lost three wickets in the second over of the match while batting first against Sunrisers Hyderabad. At one time, they appeared to be on the verge of breaking the IPL's lowest scoring record. However, Glenn Maxwell and Suyash Prabhudessai assisted RCB in surpassing the 49-run mark. With 9 wickets in hand, SRH chased down the target in the eighth over.
Rajasthan Royals, on the other hand, had a difficult opponent in DC. RR reached 222 runs for the loss of two wickets thanks to Jos Buttler's third IPL tonne and skipper Sanju Samson's blistering performance of 46 in just 19 balls. With two overs remaining, the Delhi Capitals' hitters put in a fantastic performance, bringing them 36 runs closer to the mark. Prasidh Krishna's superb maiden over made it easy for RR to win the game by just 15 runs.
In the 13th match of the season, RCB faced RR. RR set a target of 170 runs when batting first. Buttler, who is in fine form, collected 70 points on just 47 balls. Yuzvendra Chahal, an ex-RCB and current RR leggie, bowled a brilliant spell, grabbing two wickets for 15 runs. Dinesh Karthik, the town's new finisher, finished with 44 of 23 to help RCB win the game by four wickets in the final over.
