It has been announced that star Indian all-around player Hardik Pandya has been traded from Gujarat Titans to his previous team, Mumbai Indians, in another development ahead of the IPL 2024 auction. It has also been revealed that no player has been given in return to Gujarat since it was an all-cash trade.
After multiple u-turns on the agreement, the involved teams signed to finalize the transaction on November 27, which is when the Indian Premier League officially announced that the star cricket player would be joining the Mumbai Indians.
Following Pandya's exit, Shubman Gill has been named as Gujarat Titans captain. Cameron Green, an all-round player for the Mumbai Indians, has reportedly been traded to Royal Challengers Bangalore. The Mumbai Indians purchased the durable all-round player for INR 17.5 crore. The Green deal is an all-cash transaction with no involvement from any other players, much as Pandya's move.
The addition of Pandya to Mumbai's roster might strengthen the team even further. He might be the final piece in the five-time champions' puzzle as they pursue their sixth IPL championship.
