Ireland's top six batters each scored double figures in a truly all-around team effort, and the bowlers held their composure under pressure, with standout bowlers Jane Maguire and Arlene Kelly taking four crucial wickets between them, as Ed Joyce's team held on to secure one of the two available T20 World Cup spots.
With their victory today, Ireland not only advanced to the Qualifier Final on Sunday against the winner of Bangladesh vs Thailand, but they also qualified for the Next T20 World Cup.
