Adrien Rabiot scored in each half to help Juventus beat bottom club Sampdoria 4-2 in a thrilling contest on Sunday. Juventus has moved up to seventh place with this victory. With 38 points, Massimiliano Allegri's Torino team is now four points behind sixth-placed Atalanta.
In 11 minutes, Gleison Bremer gave Juve the lead with a header after outjumping the Sampdoria defence. At 26 minutes, Rabiot increased the advantage with a second header after meeting a right-wing cross from Fabio Miretti. After the half-hour mark, the visitors scored twice in 72 seconds, with Tommaso Augello tapping in a deflected shot and Filip Djuricic breaking the stunned hush at the Allianz Stadium by taking a pass from the byline and firing into the corner.
However, Rabiot turned out to be the night's hero for the home crowd as he netted his second goal of the game with a volley from the edge of the box after 64 minutes.
As Martin Turk of Sampdoria saved the initial shot four minutes into stoppage time, Matias Soule knocked home the rebound to give Juventus the victory. Due to the loss, Genoa is now in last place with 12 points from 26 games, 12 points outside of the safety zone.
