Juventus and Sevilla were tied after 97 minutes of play in the first leg of their Europa League semifinal. Federico Gatti's equaliser gave Juventus the point. After Paul Pogba brilliantly kept the ball in as a Danilo header was about to drift wide, Gatti headed in from two yards.
Youssef En-Nesyri's goal in the 26th minute, which he scored by brushing in Lucas Ocampos' cross, was cancelled out. Large stretches of the game were under Sevilla's control, but they were left to lament En-Nesyri and Ocampos' squandered opportunities. Juventus struggled for the majority of the game; Gatti's header was their sole shot on goal.
Sevilla has won the Europa League a record six times, the most recent being in 2020. Sevilla eliminated Manchester United in the quarterfinals. They had 13 shots, five of which were on goal, and may have deserved to leave Turin with a bigger lead had En-Nesyri not taken too long to shoot after scoring the first goal.
