For the upcoming two-match T20I series against the West Indies at home beginning October 5, opener David Warner, Mitchell Starc, Mitchell Marsh, and Marcus Stoinis make their returns to Australia's 16-member squad.
The presence of these elite players, who were not a part of the Australian side that recently toured India for a three-match T20I series, will strengthen the home team. Starc, Stoinis, and Marsh were sidelined by injury while Warner was rested.
Tim David and all-rounder Cameron Green, who had a strong performance against India, have been added to the roster. Ashton Agar, a left-arm spinner, and Kane Richardson, a right-arm pacer, both have been rested.
Australia, led by Aaron Finch, is the defending champion. In the championship game of the 2021 T20 World Cup, they defeated New Zealand. The Men in Yellow will try to repeat their triumphs in the upcoming crucial competition under the captaincy of Aaron Finch.
