Noel Lopez has been fully acquired by Real Madrid from Deportivo La Coruna. The 19-year-old will compete for Real Madrid Castilla in the upcoming season, with the possibility of progressing to the first team or at the at least leaving on loan to a La Liga team after that.
Lopez, a forward who featured in 24 games for the first team this season and scored four goals, is one of the best players to come out of the elite Deportivo programme in recent memory.
However, his best results came with Depor's youth team, where he also participated in the squad that advanced to the Spanish youth championship final but fell to Barcelona.
He has also participated in the UEFA Youth League and the Spanish U19 team. Even though not all of them make it to the first squad, Madrid and Barcelona are constantly on the lookout for the brightest young domestic talent. It's a worthwhile route to success someplace.
