In a transaction worth up to £35 million, Bayern Munich has finalised the acquisition of Sadio Mane from Liverpool. Since joining Liverpool from Southampton in 2016, Mane has appeared in 269 games.
The 30-year-old has committed to the German champions till 2025.
Bayern will give Liverpool an initial payment of £27.5m, with a further £5m for appearances and an additional £2.5m for both individual and team accomplishments.
Mane left Liverpool after the club-record acquisition of Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez from Benfica. Mane had just one year left on his contract at Anfield. Since moving from Southampton to Merseyside in 2016, he has made 269 appearances across all leagues. During this time, he has scored 120 goals and recorded 48 assists. He won the Premier League, the Champions League, the FIFA Club World Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, the FA Cup, and the Carabao Cup during his six years at Anfield.
