Orel Mangala has joined Nottingham Forest on a long-term contract from Stuttgart, reportedly costing £12.7 million. The 24-year-old midfielder joins Forest as their 12th summer addition as they get ready to return to the Premier League.
Mangala played 29 times for Stuttgart of the Bundesliga last season, and since making his Belgium debut in March, he has earned two caps for his country. Jesse Lingard, a representative of England, left Manchester United and joined the team this month on a free transfer.
Along with signing Wales international Neco Williams from Liverpool, Forest also shattered their transfer record by signing Nigerian international Taiwo Awoniyi. On Saturday, August 6, Steve Cooper's team travels to Newcastle to open its first top-flight campaign in 23 years.
