Team Abu Dhabi registered victory in the Abu Dhabi T10 for the second time over The weekend, defeating The Chennai Braves by seven wickets. With 12 points from eight games, the team is in second place on the standings.
Team Abu Dhabi General Manager Shane Anderson spoke about the beauty of the Abu Dhabi T10 during the match against the Chennai Braves. "The biggest difference between Abu Dhabi T10 and other franchises throughout the world is that we don't have any nationality restrictions. T10 has the advantage of being extremely flexible."
When asked about the reasons behind Paul Farbrace's appointment as a Team coach, Anderson said, "We always want a variety group of good people on this team. We will succeed if everyone has the right mindset, everyone is positive, and everyone is working together. When we started talking about team strategy, I think Paul Farbrace really jumped out. Because I admire his mental process, we were able to make an easy decision."
Anderson also discussed Team Abu Dhabi's efforts to build a fan base "We are a comparatively new franchise. This is our third year in the program. Here in Abu Dhabi, we're naturally growing our fan base. This year's crowds have been amazing. Over the next five years, we'll continue to expand our fan base."
