On Monday, Pakistan announced its 20-player squad for the ICC World Test Championship series against Bangladesh.
The Pakistani Cricket Board has recalled opener Imam-ul-Haq and off-spinner Bilal Asif to the national team, but experienced leg-spinner Yasir Shah has failed to recover from a thumb injury and has been dropped.
Chief Selector Muhammad Wasim said that Bilal was selected in place of Yasir, who is currently recovering from a thumb injury that has forced him to miss the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy first-class match.
