Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi 6-4, 6-4 at the Mallorca Championships on Friday to go to his first tour-level grass final.
The Greek used excellent footwork to control the game with his forceful forehand. He also maintained composure under pressure, saving all three break points he faced to move on after one hour and 32 minutes.
The second seed, who is competing in his first ATP 250 tournament, also defeated Bonzi on grass in Halle last week before falling to Nick Kyrgios of Australia. Tsitsipas broke Bonzi in the ninth game of a close opening set in Spain, and he held on to take the advantage.
In the second set, the Greek, buoyed by confidence, continued to rediscover his rhythm from the baseline. He used his forehand early to stall the Frenchman, which caused Bonzi to make mistakes as he finished the match.
Tsitsipas, who now leads the Tour with 39 victories this year, will take on Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut in his fourth final of the year.
