Delhi Capitals (DC) maintained their calm to defeat Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by six wickets on Monday, March 13, at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai. RCB has lost all five of their games this season, making it seem like a disastrous season for them.
After winning the toss against RCB, DC captain Lanning decided to field first. RCB achieved a total of 150/4, which was below par. Elysse Perry scored an undefeated half-century (67* off 52). Shikha Pandey of DC took 3 wickets. Mandhana, Sophie Devine, and Richa Gosh, the wicketkeeper batter, were all dismissed by Pandey. Meanwhile, Tara Norris picked one, dismissing Heather Knight.
In the chase, DC did not get off to a good start. RCB took decisive action early on to remove DC's opening pair of Shafali Verma and Lanning. Meanwhile, Alice Capsey and Jemimah Rodrigues shattered RCB’s hope before Marizanne Kapp and Jess Jonassen guided DC to win the game.
Brief Scores: RCB 150/4 in 20 overs (Perry 67; Shikha 3-23) lost to DC 154/4 in 19.4 overs (Capsey 38; Jonassen 29*) by six wickets
