During a preseason friendly game against Serie C team Pergolettese today, Charles De Ketelaere scored his first goals while wearing a Milan jersey. The Belgian star made his debut when the Rossoneri defeated Vicenza, a team from Serie B, in a friendly match yesterday, 6-1. In an effort to improve their chances of winning Serie A, Stefano Pioli's team played Pergolettese in another friendly today in Milanello.
Today, Milan won easily once more, this time by a score of 7-1. De Ketelaere started the game and scored three goals in 26 minutes, including a penalty, a header, and a left-footed effort, to score a hat-trick in the first half. The talented 18-year-old Marko Lazetic scored twice, and Yacine Adli and Tommaso Pobega also contributed goals.
Milan’s next game is their Serie A opener against Udinese on August 13 and De Ketelaere will be hoping to start as he looks to make a strong impression on the club’s supporters.
