With academy graduates driving the Chelsea forward, they were simply too strong to deal with the giants. Juventus failed to defend a corner and Trevoh Chalobah scored a fine finish from inside the penalty area to break the deadlock in the opening period.
Within the first 45 minutes, Chelsea had more chances but did not take them. Fortunately, those weren't wasted.
Tuchel's side added two more goals after the breakthrough Reece James and Callum Hudson-Odoi following good work by Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the penalty area.
Despite this, Chelsea was not finished. Timo Werner scored from close range in stoppage time on his return from a hamstring injury following a cross by Hakim Ziyech.
The Blues' night, unfortunately, was far from ideal. In the first period, N'Golo Kante was sent off, and in the second, Ben Chilwell needed assistance down the tunnel which is a big concern for Chelsea.
In a post-match press conference, Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel said “It worries me because Chilwekk was in such a fantastic moment, like Reece on the other side, "They were in the best shape they could possibly be. So strong, full of confidence, and quality. He was in a lot of pain and now he feels a bit better."
