With a quick victory over Chun-Hsin Tseng on Tuesday at the Intesa Sanpaolo Next Gen ATP Finals, Italian Lorenzo Musetti moved to a perfect 1-0 record in the Red Group.
The 20-year-old, making his second appearance in Milan, wowed the enthusiastic home fans the whole 70-minute match with his beautiful shotmaking. Musetti started the 21-and-under competition off right with a series of passing shots from both flanks and good touch near the net.
Throughout the match, Musetti and the coach, Simone Tartarin, were in frequent communication. While watching the match from courtside, Tartarin was given data and analytics through the TennisViz system, which assisted him in strategizing with Musetti, the highest-ranked player competing in Milan (who had an excellent 8.3 serve shot quality).
The World No. 23 won his first tour-level championship in Hamburg in July before enjoying victory at home in Naples last month. He blasted 17 winners and broke serve four times.
