This season, Enzo Maresca coached Parma in Serie B, but he is expected to return to Manchester City as Pep Guardiola's assistant manager. The 42-year-old has risen from assistant coach to oversee Manchester City's Under-23 team before taking over as head coach at Parma in the summer of 2021.
He was only in charge for 14 games before being dismissed in November 2021. Maresca will now return to Manchester City as Guardiola's assistant manager, replacing Juanma Lillo, according to Sky Sport Italia.
He had spent the majority of his managerial career as a back-up to Fulvio Fiorin at Ascoli, Vincenzo Montella and Joaquin Caparros at Sevilla, and Manuel Pellegrini at West Ham United for 64 matches. Maresca has also travelled extensively as a footballer, having played for West Bromwich Albion, Juventus, Bologna, Fiorentina, Sevilla, Olympiacos, Malaga, Sampdoria, and Palermo before retiring in 2017.
