For a sportsperson, becoming a professional in any sport other than cricket in India can be a difficult feat. Riya Bhatia, the current No. 2 in Indian women's tennis, received a lot of encouragement when she was pursuing her career. Bhatia's singles and doubles WTA rankings peaked at 338 and 387, respectively, on 2 March 2020 and 17 May 2021, respectively. She has won three singles championships and three doubles titles at competitions on the ITF Women's Circuit in the past.
When questioned about the significance of PTL, Bhatia was ecstatic and described it as an "incredible" opportunity for the youngsters.
