South Africa vs. India: After winning the toss and electing to bat first in the current 1st test match at SuperSports Park in Centurion, India put on a fantastic performance. Mayank Agarwal, the opener, was dismissed after scoring 60 runs, while KL Rahul remained unbeaten on 122 runs. Virat Kohli, on the other hand, would be happy because he has yet again given his wicket after a brilliant start.
Lungi Ngidi, South Africa's only wicket-taker of the day, bowled the second delivery of the innings far out off stump and short of a length in the 69th over of the match. In limited-overs cricket, the delivery would have been called a wide ball since it was so far outside off.
Kohli maintained the line of the delivery with his bat, hoping to drive it through the off-side. The ball caught the outside edge of the bat and went straight to Mulder at the second slip, who made no errors. On a seamer pitch, Kohli was dismissed after scoring 34 runs off 94 balls with four boundaries.
When it comes to the match, India has put itself in a strong position after finishing Day 1 on 272/3 at Stumps. KL Rahul (122*) and Ajinkya Rahane (40*) lead South Africa. They will aim to continue their good form.
