The Chennai Braves will face the Deccan Gladiators in the 18th match of the Abu Dhabi T10 League on Friday, November 26.
As of now, Chennai Braves haven't opened their account in the competition. Currently, they are at the bottom of the points table after losing all of their five games so far.
Deccan Gladiators, on the other hand, have had a mixed record so far. Three of their five games have ended in victories, while two were losses.
The Gladiators are hoping to enter second in the standings if they win this contest, while the Braves are looking for their first win of the season.
By nine wickets, the Gladiators lost their last game to the Bangla Tigers. As a result of their first innings effort, the team posted a score of 116/5, where Tom Banton top-scored with 30 runs.
The Chennai Braves lost to the Northern Warriors by 19 runs in their last game. Mark Deyal and Curtis Campher were the only bowlers to pick up two wickets each. As a batsman, Bhanuka Rajapaksa scored 34 runs off just 13 deliveries.
Deccan Gladiators have one of the most balanced squads in the league. Many of their players are in good form and contributing well. On the other hand, the Chennai Braves struggle tremendously in the bowling department. They have done well with the bat, but their bowling has let them down big time.
The wicket at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium has performed well so far, and the smaller boundaries have been beneficial to batsmen. The skipper who wins the toss is likely to invite the opposition to bat first.
