Currently playing a five-match Test series, India and England have both performed incredibly well. However, because he opted out of the first two Tests of the series citing personal reasons in order to spend more time with his family, team India has been without star batsman Virat Kohli.
But Kohli might also miss the third game against England, which is slated to begin on February 15 in Rajkot. It is still unknown to the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) whether the batter is available.
“The call will be entirely on Kohli. The board respects his personal space. If he agrees to play any part in the series, then there’s nothing like that. But it will be his call,” a BCCI source was quoted as saying by the Times of India.
KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja, who were both injured and missed the second Test, are still recovering. There is hope that Rahul will arrive in time for the third game of the series, even though Jadeja is unlikely to return.
